Superb shop. Very good selection of things. Best cumberland sausage ever. Very clean place with friendly staff. A little pricier than other food halls but well worth paying that bit extra as everything is really good quality.
Lovely food both fresh and cooked. Great selection can be a little expensive but you get what you pay for... Topside Chedder burgers are fabulous
Been in the cafe a couple of times before and it was quite good. When we visited on Sunday it was very disappointing. I acknowledge that it was busy but nobody came to take our order. My husband had to go over to the food prep area and ask if he needed to put an order in, he was told no a waitress would come to the table. Eventually the guy who I guessed was the manager came to take our order, when he realised the 4 of us only wanted coffees he didn't look impressed. I get the impression that they want you to be placing food orders rather than just drinks, we would have had a cake with the coffees but the choice was very limited not the usual stuff you would expect.
Love the shop for all the versatility in the food hall. Loved all the food that we have purchased in the past year. But I must say that we purchased a Farm House Pate. But the problem with this is that it is very salty and not the best of flavour. When opened the pate was wet which should have been dry. Had to leave a few hour to dry before use.
Still has plenty of choice for meat, veg cheese and groceries but can't help but feel the butchery side has been replaced by bulk buy prepacked products. or no lamb shanks. The restaurant upstairs is still very good. Nice specials and nice choices on main menu, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free. Pleasant polite staff too
