How fabulous is Eden Gallery Tea room.. one of Penrith's hidden gems. Homely and friendly cafe. Highly recommended.
Beautiful homemade food and excellent service
Just visited this cafe and can't actually believe what we were charged. We ordered 2 fried egg sandwiches which came as 2 slices of bread and 1 egg each, which I thought was incredibly stingy. They then charged 3.50 each. Absolute day light robbery. Everything else was fine however, I thought this was ridiculous. We were then 20p short on change and they proceeded to swap a 20 note for change in 20ps. Very disappointed with this experience.. Would not visit again.
Me and my mum were made to feel very welcome, the staff were lovely. It felt like they would go above and beyond to ensure you were happy. I have a gluten intolerance and their were plenty of options, I was told about other items on the menu which are suitable. They also made a dairy free hot chocolate which was delicious which I really appreciated will definately be back couldnt fault it.
Had a super vegetarian breakfast, made to order, on a Sunday morning! Very friendly owner, happy to cater to all dietary needs. And he let us leave our rucksacks whilst we looked round the town. Wholeheartedly recommended!!
