The pub date back to the 1700.Open fire with Cask ales.Open fire and a Pool room in the back.Weekend thay usually have a band on.Good atmosphere with plenty of conversation.
Very nice traditional old style English pub.
Great little drinking place, just as a pub should be. Licencees Ange and Gary really know how to run the place and other staff are great. Even the pub dog Charlie is an absolute pleasure. Cozy warm fire in winter and generally a nice friendly place.

Best pub in Penrith it's what I would call a proper bar with a lot of original old features and a great real fire for the winter months. Good staff and friendly atmosphere for all.
