A nice warm well upkept hostel. Good location to the center of town with good supply of amenities.
I've stayed numerous times at the Wayfarers. It is always quiet, clean and tidy. The breakfast option is basic, but good. Close to Penrith town centre. Secure bicycle parking a useful addition for cyclists.
Fabulous, stopped on Coast2Coast route, manager Mark drove me 30miles to rescue my GoPro which I had left on a fence - cannot thank him enough. The hostel itself is clean, bright, modern, with superb facilities, cannot fault the place. Highly recommend.
Less of a hostel more of a mini-hotel! One of the nicest, cleanest and well appointed hostels I have ever stayed in. The rooms are bright, clean and well thought out, even down to the USB charging points on the headboards. The kitchen/diner is spacious and fully equipped. Everything you need is here. There is bike store in the cellar and a really good drying room. The owners have gone above and beyond to cater for all your needs. The prices were very reasonable and worth every penny for the high standards. If you are hiking or cycle touring and need a place to stay I can't recommend it highly enough.
Stayed here for the C2C with my Dad. Excellent place to stay. We had an ensuite room with 2 single beds. Beds were very comfortable! Kitchen facilities were good. The basement has an assortment of tools if you need to work on your bike. No complaints really!
