My first experience of recovery!! Excellent service in abismal weather. Very sympathetic to special requirements of my passenger. Thanks all, really appreciate your assistance yesterday in recovering my car and ensuring we got home safe and sound.
Got a good deal on a car, they didn't quibble about the warranty work either which makes them the 3rd dealership/workshop I'd actually recommend going to. Excellent work guys keep it up
Firstly I have to agree with Simon, yes this is an awful garage, I definitely will not be visiting again, I had a problem with rattling under the front wheels of my car, they charged me 36, I had brakes fitted the day I left to come here to Penrith for our holiday by a different garage, I have an invoice stating they 'Ullswater Road Garage' couldn't find anything wrong with my car and claimed they took it for an extensive test, the car continued to rattle all week, they told me my car was safe to drive, we took it up mountains in Cumbria, still the car rattled, but they assured me there wasn't anything wrong, I got it home and took it to my local garage who immediately discovered my brakes were the wrong sort and too small for my car, yet this garage failed to find the fault?? When I approached them and spoke to them for a refund as they failed to find ill fitted illegal brake pads the manager argued with me and started shouting at me down the phone, I told him I had not rang for an argument but he continued. I will never come to this shoddy garage again, the manager obviously does not put his customers first or their safety. Don't trust this place, they take your money and are not skilled enough to pick up a fault with the most important part of the car 'the brakes', we could have got ourselves killed up a mountain. They don't even deserve one star, its disgusting, they are crooks.
Service & standards are usually high here & in recent years it has grown. Mainly was service, repairs, MOT, recovery, forecourt fuel & vehicle hire. It now has gone back into new & used vehicle sale's..... .....however I can't understand why some people would write a negative review after being told their car needs a new engine ! 3500. Is about right for the average engine even if your car is only worth 2000. As for 33 for a mechanic to come & look at your broken down car...yep that's about normal for most places I'm afraid !! As for price of parts, these can differ wherever you go depending make of part I'm afraid. As for if you can find somewhere cheaper.....I think you have answered your own question !
