Beautiful Jubilee cottage, and perfect location. Greengil holidays has several cottages, a large main house and a camping ground. We stayed in Jubilee cottage. From the cottage you can do day trips to Lake District, North Pennines and Yorkshire Dales. We were originally just going to visit lake district but then we realised because of location of the cottage we could actually venture out. We ended uo doing 2 days lake district (beautiful high mountains and lakes) 2 days north pennines (which have the best waterfalls) and 1 day yorkshire dales (which has its own beauty). No point staying in 1 national park and be limited, much better to stay in the middle anr explore all three. Will hope to stay again in the future. Freddie was very helpful and friendly too and cottage top quality. A microwave inside is only thing we missed due to small baby warming his food, but there is one in the main house which can be used. Jubilee is still private from main house due to location on the greengill land. Lovely terrace overlooking mountain views. Jubilee cottage was perfect size for us and our baby. Would highly recommend staying with greengil holidays and definitely at Jubilee cottage. It ticked all boxes.

Sorry But i cannot even give this site a single star. I booked to stay at this site for two nights 25th and 26th August for a family Party in the local area, I did this back in April of this year. We turned up on Saturday 25th at 2pm as arranged only to find NO ONE there to meet us and the site was full !!!. after trying the land line we managed to get hold of FREDDIE on his mobile and guess what , He had forgotten all about us. Needless to say we had to go elsewhere which was inconvenient as the site we stayed at was further away from where we needed to be. I WONT recommend this site to anyone. When we spoke to the other site about this, they just laughed and said it was typical of FREDDIE.

The barn is a cracking place where a bunch of us geeky lads meet up once a year to play games and drink booze for a long weekend. It started out as a mates stag do and is quickly becoming a tradition. This year one of the guys hired out the attached house for after the weekend and our families joined us. Very quiet area and no real shops to speak of but very peaceful. There is also a camp site attached. Dog friendly.

Lovely quiet site. Clean and well looked after.

Good sized place with everything you need. Pool table has seen better days but is still a nice addition
