Lovely little place, yes it's close to the railway line but it wasn't noisy especially if you pitch nearer the toilet block. Will use again.
We visit every year and would not consider an alternative. This is lovely site with good facilities. The noise from the trains doesn't disturb us but it might concern some. There are very few trains at night.
Very friendly staff. Small site and shower cost 50pence but this got you 7 mins of good hot water which was ample. Only 1 shower cubicle in ladies and no heating in the block but price was only 17 per night. Very handy to Penrith town centre - about 7 minutes walk. Excellent value for money.
Great wee site just inside Penrith from the A6. They charge 17 per pitch per night, that includes hook up. Very clean and tidy. The only downside is, it's next to a railway and there is a lot of trains go past. It might put some people of but not me. A little gem.
