Recently returned. Spotlessly clean facilities. Great family room with pool table, games, chill out couches and TV.
Typical car park style caravan club site but we love it. Facilities second to none and pitches by and large spacious.
Fantastic site, amenities are probably the best I have seen so far. No small feat when you consider every CC site has top notch facilities. The location is great. Pretty much straight off the A66, just before Keswick, with absolutley fantastic views, regardless where you pitch up.
We have just spent a very relaxing week at Troutbeck Head and as always enjoyed the great care and attention the Wardens take to looking after the entire campsite. The new facilities are wonderful and are kept so clean you would think it had only opened the day you arrive.
Pros- Fantastic, picturesque location, spacious, well arranged pitches. Friendly, helpful staff. Access from the M6 couldn't be easier. Onsite shop has the essentials that you forget.Cons- Pitches have fairly deep gravel topping which makes the jockey wheel dig in. During our stay some inconsiderate adults allowed their children to play football around their van and on the road. There are rules and designated play areas so please make your children use them.
